From what I have heard from friends and neighbors is that the ticket givers are pretty ruthless. Even if the meter is 1 min over, they are giving out the tickets.

Who can afford this?

Gov. Martin O’Malley (D)will deliver his official proposal to the General Assembly in January. The new map shifts precincts heavily populated by blacks and Asians from District 15 to District 39.

Laws prohibit mapmakers from splitting minorities across districts to dilute their voting power, and packing, or stuffing minorities into one district so their influence only impacts that jurisdiction.

The Arlington County Board authorized the plan to put a year-round homeless shelter in a commercial office building in a high-rent Courthouse neighborhood.

The unanimously vote authorizes the County Manager to make a $25.5 million offer to buy the building and to begin eminent domain proceedings if the offer is refused.

The opponents to this were mostly local residents who said that had safety concerns and felt there were better places for the shelter in the county.

LEESBURG Baby Jesus is keeping strange company. For the better part of 50 years, a creche and a Christmas tree were the only holiday displays on the Loudoun County Courthouse grounds.

A new entrance into is about to be opened by Toll Brothers into Dominion Valley. This is the 2nd entrance into the subdivision.

The new entrance needs to have a stoplight installed or it is going to be an absolute mess.... Especially on the weekend when Park Valley Church is having services.
